Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, we’re taking a stand against abuse and standing for healing, hope, and unity in our community.

A smiling woman wearing a purple shirt holds a Bible against a soft lavender background. The text reads: “Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence. Wear Purple. Sunday, October 12.” The design uses white, purple, and gold text to promote Bethlehem United Methodist Church’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign.

At Bethlehem United Methodist Church, we believe in standing together for healing and hope. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we’re encouraging our members and neighbors to wear purple on Sunday, October 12 to honor survivors and raise awareness.

Domestic violence affects families in every community, and the Church can be a place of refuge, love, and support. By joining this movement, we show our commitment to breaking the silence and spreading compassion.

If you or someone you know needs help, reach out to the National Domestic Violence Hotline or visit our Community Outreach page to learn how Bethlehem UMC supports those in need.
